Kahoot for Education
RING RING, it is time to kahoot today!
Kahoot is one of my favorite tools which helps you create your own fun quizzes. It is easy to use, suitable for each group of students, and completely free. All you have to do is to create an account then to create your quiz. You can add pictures or video links in your questions and you can give more than one answer to the questions. You can also choose how much time the players will have to answer the questions.
It enables students to work collaboratively. You can assign them either in team play or individual play. Everyone in the team should press the same answer, otherwise the ones that know the right answer need to convince the rest of the group to press the same answer. Students get points when they answer correctly. The quicker they answer the questions, the more points they get. After everyone has answered you see a small leader board with players who get the most points. Later, you can check which questions they did right or wrong, which is very useful for student reflection and giving feedback.
